Fuel Systems
Fuel Systems are used to ensure the performance, operation and
availability of turbines, recip engines and flare gas installations.
A combination of high quality materials, good design and application
know-how is incorporated into our Fuel Systems.
The design of a fuel system is based on the specific requirements of the
consumer and the environment in which it is expected to operate.
To meet those requirements we have various fuel systems available.
Fuel Systems can be used in combination with each other or can operate as
a stand-alone unit.
Some typical examples of fuel systems are
Pump Fuel Units,
Treatment Units,
Metering Skids and
Gas Fuel Units.
Parts
are mostly available through our
Service Department.

Pump Fuel Units are used for transportation of fuels and other oil related
liquids. Due to the environment in which our Pump Fuel Units operate,
special attention is paid to hazardous area execution and explosion
proof precautions in combination with the fuel composition
and customers requirements.

Treatment units are used for heating, cooling, filtering or (de)pressurizing
of the medium that is being handled. Treatment Units
are available for biogas, fuel gas, naphtha, gasoline and
other oil related products.

Specially designed and manufactured for operation on a FPSO
vessel owned by Bluewater Engineering Services B.V.

To ensure correct flow of medium (gas or liquid) to the consumer,
Eltacon designs and manufactures Metering Skids.
Metering skids are manufactured using high quality measurement devices
and materials and can be used in combination with remote monitoring systems.
The picture shows a Metering Skid with a Coreolis metering device,
basket filtering and centrifugal air eliminator.
Piping material is made of A-333/A350 cold steel and the unit
is certified for use in an hazardous area.

Our Gas Fuel Units are designed to accomodate the requirements
of most turbine applications.
Based upon customers’ specifications we
use this basic design and extended options to meet customers requirements.
The first picture shows a gasfuel package for Moscow city, Russia,
It is a complete fiscal metering and pressure reducing station for the
combined gas supply to various gas turbines and auxiliary boilers.
Mechanical design according ASME and Russian standards. The station
has a low and high-pressure section. The high-pressure section can
handle a supply pressure of 2.5 to 4 bar. Each gas flow is suitable
to handle 3.2 kg/sec of gas and is executed with 12" flow meters.
Total gas flow is approx. 100,000 Nm3/h during operation. Total
footprint dimensions are 12 x 8 x 3.5 meters.
The second picture shows a gasfuel package for
Blackburn, United Kingdom. It is a complete gas pressure
reduction station for gas turbine and auxiliary boilers.
Total gas flow is approx. 50.000 Nm³/h. Mechanical
design according British Standard BS.5500.
Both gas streams have 100% redundancy. Each gas stream
is executed with monitoring gas regulators, gas filter
and gas heater. The heating system is closed loop with
two electrical water heaters. Package dimensions are 8,5
x 2,5 x 2,8 meter. |
