In cooperation with KOBELCO, Eltacon has delivered an Oil-injected Screw Compressor to Shell Nederland Chemie B.V.

The compressor will be used as a Residue Gas Compressor for a gas turbine driven generator at Shell’s plant in the Netherlands. The residue gas becomes available after electrification of a steam turbine driven compressor and subsequent reduction in steam boiler operation, reducing the plant’s CO2 emissions and natural gas import.

The compressor is a critical component that pressurizes the fuel gas to the required level, enabling its supply to the turbine’s combustion section.
